The decision to repeat last year’s map was made only last weekend by a group of Halloween enthusiasts. Although it is now common practice to put out a lighted pumpkin or lantern, many people find it helpful to have an overview and map of where to go. “It’s not always easy to find the houses where kids are welcome,” says Esther Gerris-Lahou, one of the organizers of this year’s online map.

“It’s not a fixed walk with a specific starting point or time, and it’s completely voluntary. But the map does indicate some of the best-decorated spots in Tervuren that are not commonly known to everyone,” Gerris-Lahou adds.

So far, about 50 Halloween-enthusiastic homeowners have shared their locations on the map at: https://tinyurl.com/Halloween2024Tervuren
